I love color - particularly purple - and I love making a statement and I love leggings. But apparently even sometimes I have limits...right?
Every time these "violet spandex leggings" go on sale I consider buying them. But I never have. Because somewhere in my mind even I must have a limit. I mean they're ridiculous right? I think the fact that they are perpetually on sale might be hint #1. Even I, the woman who owns these leggings thinks they're a bit too much.
And yet every time they go on sale I consider taking the plunge, why is that? I've written about fashion remorse, but I fear if I buy these I'll have actual buyers remorse. Talk me out of them readers, talk me out of them.
Also what do you think of this? I've always had an unnaturally soft spot in my heart (and wardrobe) for cherries.

For your legs' sake, let Torrid keep those leggings. Get the sweater, though. :)
ReplyDeleteI actually don't think they are so bad. If you wore them with a black dress and black shoes, they could be a fun splash of color for you.
ReplyDeleteBut knowing you, you'll pick an orange shirt, a kelly green skirt, a yellow scarf and red shoes. Then, these might be a bit much. . .
LoL, I knew what leggings you were talking about before I even looked at the pic. I went through the same thing with the White Black Lace Print Leggings. In the end I bought them but haven't wore em yet ,but I know one day I definitely will.
ReplyDeleteI think U should buy them if you like them. There only $9 and one day they might come in handy.
They're an improvement on these which I considered buying due to the price. If I can find these in store I'll snap them up though! If you keep considering them, I say cave in and get them! :)
ReplyDeleteI have the purple leggings from evans they went down to £7 BARGIN i wear them with my black jumper dress and its well cute x
ReplyDeleteStephanieDJL are you kidding me? How have I missed those - I would buy those purple foil leggings in a hot SECOND. Nothing would be able to hold me back. They're way classier than the Torrid ones.
ReplyDeleteI think the deciding factor on whether or not I get the leggings will be whether I decide to get the cardigan. I rarely order anything from Torrid unless it's on hella clearance as the quality isn't very good.
I also think I'll experiment tomorrow by wearing my crazy purple and green leopard leggings with a very simple dress ala Jamie's recommendation. If I like that look I might spring for the purple shiny ones.
I kind of like the purple shiny ones. lol
ReplyDeleteI like the ones you already have much better, don't do it! But that cardigan, I love it. I too have a soft spot for cherries :)
ReplyDeleteDebbie Downer (Dobsie downer?) here to say I don't get cropped cardigans. I just don't think they look good on anyone. But I am also not anywhere near the realm of fashionista as the rest of the esteemed 30dresses community, so you should probably ignore me. I LOOOOOVE fruit prints however. So maybe go for it.
ReplyDeleteAs for the leggings? Yes! Certainly!
Leggings no, they are a bit to disco, and you probably will have buyers remorse so DON'T DO IT! The cherries I think is more doable also you don't anything else with cherries on it. I am the same way sometimes I see something I want but I am not sure and I always go back & forth about buying it. I have so many things in my closet I bought out of impulse and never worn :( so now I am selling them on my blog you should check it out http://chunkycurlz.blogspot.com/2010/01/chunky-chic-boutique.html
ReplyDeleteto both you and Stefanie DJL I think all leggings shown can easely be wearable if worn the right way. Unfortunately it does mean all black and with a boot preferably. but they're cute.
