Day 1, Dress 1.

So today is the very first day in 2009's "30 Dresses in 30 Days" and I'm already finding it difficult. The weather was cooler this morning than I anticipated for September 1 and I didn't want to wear one of my long sleeved dresses so early in the month. I also had to check my photo diary from the last 2 years more than once to ensure that I wasn't repeating an outfit.

So I give you dress 1. The perfect dress for today because it's made of some terrible 70's material that I can't wear when it's warmer than the mid-70's.

I got this dress from my favorite vintage store in London called Thea. It's in my old hood of Camden, deep within the market. It's not a stall but a free standing store and it's got some great dresses at decent prices and somehow everytime I go I manage to find something to fit my ass.

As for accessories, which as you will soon learn I am obsessed with they come from the following.

Necklace I got from an indigenous vendor in Iguazu. Belt is from a Friday Fatshionista sales post. Shoe are from my beloved Primark.

I wore this to work and to an ACLU ladieez happy hour on my friends terrace afterwork. Nothing particularly special, but it was an absolutely beautiful day today in New York.

  1. Just like back to school shoes, the fall issue of Vogue, and cozy sweaters, 30 Dresses is just another reason I love September.

Here's to another year of fabulousness, a little shock and surprise, and of course a careful check of all photos to see if any of my life's cast-offs appear on the model!

    Good luck!
